|  The Talk 'N Text cagers and San Miguel Beermen arrived today in Zamboanga City for the first Philippine Basketball Association game in Zamboanga City for 2010. The game will be held tomorrow, January 16, 2010 5:00 PM at the Zamboanga City Coliseum. Tickets are sold at P150, P400 and P600.
The event is being organized by the Federacion Basketbolista de Zamboanga (FBZ), a group of committed basketball leaders.

|  Zamboanga City Mayor Celso L. Lobregat led the ceremonies of th annual Christmas festival which formally kicked-off last December 4, 2009 with the lighting of the Christmas lights at the City Hall, the giant Christmas trees at the Paseo del Mar and Plaza Pershing. The festival dubbed as Pascua na Zamboanga aims to ensure the joyous celebration of the birth of Christ.

| Mindanao Week of Peace 2009

|  The Mindanao Week of Peace is a comprehensive promotional activity that involves various GOs, NGOs, and PO's in advocating the culture of peace in the Southern Philippines. It is a celebration of peace which was initiated in Zamboanga City by Peace Advocates Zamboanga Foundation, Inc. (PAZ) and SALAM Foundation in 1997. It has snowballed into a Mindanao-wide event as adopted by the Bishops-Ulama Conference and perpetuated as an annual observance through Presidential Proclamation 127, S. 2001.
Below is the schedule of activities for this year's Mindanao Week of Peace.

|  Ateneo Fiesta is approaching. For sure, many Atenistas are excited to participate in the festivities. This year marks the start of the preparation for the centennial celebration of Ateneo de Zamboanga University in 2012. The theme for this year's fiesta is "Celebrating 100 years of Excellence".
